Introduction
Ani-jobs resume and tutorial site is a community site that can be edited by anyone.
Basic Editing
To begin editing Ani-jobs Resume Cafe, you must log in or sign up.
To change or add to a page, click the "edit" button above any page. You'll be presented with a text field where you can make changes or additions to the text in the article. Certain bits of text, called "wiki markup" tells the text how to be displayed on the screen. For example, to create the heading of this paragraph, you would enter ==Basic Editing==. It's easy to get a hang of once you've looked at a few pages. For a larger list of wiki markup available, look at Editing and Advanced editing. If you'd like to play around a bit with editing before you create or edit any articles, please feel to do some in the Sandbox.
Once you're done with your edits, hit "Save page". That's it. If you're unsure about the technicalities of an edit, go ahead and do it anyways. Someone can always go back and correct it for you.
Creating a page
You can create a page in a few different ways.
1)By using the address bar of your browser. If you type in http://www.ani-jobs.com/wiki/Some page, you'll be taken to that page. If the page doesn't exist, you can hit "edit" and it will be created when you save.
2)By creating a link. If you're editing another page and wish to link to another Ani-jobs page, you can enter [[Some page]]. If the page doesn't exist, you can hit "edit" and it will be created when you save.
Adding your page to a category
To categorize your page, insert [[Category:Some page]] at the bottom of the page. You can use multiple categories, by repeating the process. This allows your article to be dynamically listed into groups with others in the category. For example the "Freelancers" box on the front page is a list of all the pages with the "Freelancer" category.
You can also use the "Associate this article with categories..." link at the top of the page (when you're editing) to manage categories.
A few general guidelines on contributing
Avoid copying information directly from another source. Try to use source information to create, if possible, an even more informative and understandable account.
Avoid advertising language. This includes copying information directly from a product or company's website or pumping up a page about yourself or your company with over-gracious descriptions. The words "bleeding edge" come to mind.
Avoid opinionated or unprovable statements. The discussion/talk page is where anyone can voice their opinions on an article or its contents, as well as discuss additions to the article they might be unsure about.
If possible, cite the source of information so others can reference it. For more information about citing, read Advanced editing.
Try to keep articles Animation-centric. Although this isn't always possible, try to avoid long tangents on topics that don't relate to the field.
