I am currently a freelancer with a studio located in Washington DC’s Adams Morgan district. In addition to freelancing, I was co-owner of a 6 year old animation company called Coolbeans Inc. There I created a wide-range of art and animation for clients such as Discovery Channel, Smithsonian Channel, Animal Planet, National Geographic Channel, PBS, and the History Channel.
Prior to this, I worked for the National Geographic Television Art Department for 10 years. In this position I became an accomplished artist and animator, developing elements for numerous Emmy award winning shows such as ‘Explorer’ and ‘Specials’. Further, I developed and colorized a 1 kilometer satellite image of the Earth in conjunction with the Jet Propulsion Lab. The image has been used numerous television shows and the National Geographic 7th Edition Atlas.
I am experienced in all phases of animation production, including Design, 3D animation, 2D animation, Motion Graphics, Visual Effects, and Compositing. I am also experienced in the use of various software packages including, Maya, Photoshop, After Effects, and various effects plug-ins.
