To Whom It May Concern

My name is James Morris and I am an Animator. 

I have been animating professionally for about 4 years; 3 in games and 1 in short film. I can animate realism, cartoon style, or produce gaming sequences. I’ve handled motion capture setup, capture, processing and clean up. I am familiar with low and high polygonal modeling, character rigging with both IK and FK setup, and texture mapping but my focus is character animations. I am also capable of handling concept design and character creation in 2D and 3D.

For the past 3 years I’ve been animating main and secondary characters and weapons for a realistic military shooter. I’ve done both hand keyframing and mo-cap clean-up for in-game cycles, specialty animations and cinematics. I have been fortunate to work in a place that developed it’s own proprietary tool set and as such had the opportunity to help influence how animations get into and are viewed in-game. Interacting with the engineering department and design department to improve workflow and communications was a daily task. Working within a small team has honed my ability to communicate with the people around me and with the different departments. It has also strengthened my belief in the value of taking personal ownership of each phase of the development cycle. I believe that with this background I can be a good addition to your team.
